Change Game Settings in Soulmask
Important: The file for the game settings is in JSON format.
We recommend using sites like https://jsonformatter.curiousconcept.com/ for syntax validation.
If the syntax is incorrect, your changes will be ignored or the server may crash.
1. Download GameXishu.json
- Stop your server. The status must be Server is not running.
- Connect to the Savegames-FTP.
We recommend using an FTP program like Filezilla.
You can find the login details in the FTP overview under FTP. - The
GameXishu.json
is located in the following directory:ConfigID/WS/Saved/GameplaySettings
Note: You can find the ConfigID for your server on our page under Gameserver.
For example, if your ConfigID is 123456, it would look like this:/123456/WS/Saved/GameplaySettings
2. Edit GameXishu.json
Open the downloaded file with Notepad.
However, we recommend using an editor with syntax highlighting like Notepad++.
Please note that each value appears 3 times.
If you want to adjust the experience, for example, you must change the value "ExpRatio": 1,
in all 3 places.
A list of available settings and their effects can be found below.
After making your settings, save the file.
We recommend validating the syntax before uploading.
3. Upload GameXishu.json
- Ensure the server is still stopped.
- Reconnect to the Savegames-FTP.
- Upload the
GameXishu.json
to the following directory:ConfigID/WS/Saved/GameplaySettings
Please ensure you overwrite the existing file on the Savegames FTP. - Start your server.
If you have done everything correctly, your game should now start with the changes you made.
