Downloading World in Minecraft

We will describe in this article how to download your savegame for Minecraft.

Tip: We recommend using an FTP program such as Filezilla.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Stop your server. The status of your server must be “Server not running!”
  2. Connect to your FTP program with the Savegames-FTP.
You can find the login details in the FTP overview when you click on FTP.
  3. Depending on the Minecraft version, the savegame is stored differently:
    • For Vanilla Minecraft, you can find the savegame in the following directory:
      KonfigID/minecraft-data/world
Note: You can find the configuration ID or configuration ID for your server on our page under Gameserver.
If your configuration ID is, for example, 123456, it would look like this: /123456/world
      Download the world folder here.
    • For Forge and variants, Craftbukkit and variants, as well as Modpacks, you will find a ZIP file.
Download the Zipfile. It contains the savegame as well as installed mods.
