How to create a play.eco Account

Since the update on 15.08.2024, an account on https://play.eco is required to operate the server.
We explain how you can quickly and easily create an account and link your Steam account.

1. Create an Account

1. Go to https://play.eco in your browser
2. Click on Login at the top right
3. You now have several options

• You can log in if you already have an account
• Log in with Steam. This will create an account and link the game with your account.
• Create a new account.
• Now click either on Login with Steam or on Register Account

Login via Steam

If you clicked on Login with Steam, you will be redirected to Steam.
Log in to your Steam account as usual.
In the next step, you must click on Sign In.
You will then be redirected back to play.eco.
Enter a username as well as your email address and create a password.

Register Account

If you clicked on Register Account, you will be redirected to the following page

Enter a username as well as your email address and create a password.
Check the box I am over the age of 13 years old and click Register.
You will now be automatically logged into your new account.

2. Add Eco to the Account

1. Go to https://play.eco in your browser
2. Click on Login at the top right

• If you do not own the game or have not yet linked Steam, it will look like this:

• If you have the game on Steam, click here on Link Steam
  
  Log in to your Steam account as usual.

If you did everything correctly, the account will now show that you own the game

3. Link Server with Account

1. Click on your server’s name to open the settings.
2. Click on Server Settings on the left
3. Enter the name for your play.eco account under play.eco Account Login
4. Enter the password for your play.eco account under play.eco Account Password
5. Click on Save and restart your server
