How to Create a Procedural Ark - Ark Survival Evolved

Note: Your server must be in Advanced Mode in order to use generated maps.
The server cannot be switched back to Basic Mode while you want to use generated maps!

1. Generate World Locally

Start your game and click on Local Game -> Create Procedural Ark.
Configure your desired settings for the map and start the game.
If you are satisfied with the map, open the Game.ini of your game.
You can find it in the game’s installation directory here:
ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
You can now quit the game.

2. Change Settings on the Server

If not already done, switch the server to Advanced Mode.
Under Commandline -> Map to Start choose Custom as the map.
Then enter PGArk in the Custom Map to start field.
Pay attention to the capitalization!
Click on Save.
Now click on Game.ini on the left.
Copy the following lines along with their values from your Game.ini:

PGMapName=
PGTerrainPropertiesString=
PGLastPreset=

And paste these lines on our page and click on Save.
‘‘‘Important’’’: The value for PGTerrainPropertiesString= can span multiple lines, so make sure you copy all the values here!
